I believe that humility is one of the most important of human traits so this exercise presents an interesting dilemma. I am supposed to talk about myself so, like it or not, here is an honest attempt at it.
Human Capital: My Perception
- Optimism: I have dealt with my share of adversity but no matter the situation, the problem, or the predicament; my mind is constantly focused on the part of the glass that is half full. I don't know any other way.
- Passion: I am pretty sure my loved ones will also bring this up pointing to my propensity to pursue my passions with vigor. This is where the heart takes over from the mind and I go all in striving to achieve my goals.
- Adaptability: I have a tendency to look at all sides of the issue before making up my mind. Even when my mind is made up, I keep evaluating other possibilities until time runs out. This serves me well in maintaining an open mind as I am always ready to adapt if the need arises.
- Jack of All Trades: This is what I have been called for much of my career. The lack of depth in any one area is augmented by a breadth of knowledge and experience in many facets of business. My varied professional experience is comprised of customer service, sales, technology, marketing, business development, operations, product development, and management. Most importantly, I have direct experience in socially responsible financial services and, as an entrepreneur, I was able to survive through the recent financial crisis.
- Stress Management: As I have grown older, one of the things that I am most proud of is that I have learned to control my anger and aggressive nature by learning to manage stress because I have developed a passion for finding balance in every aspect of life.
Human Capital: Those Who Know Me Best
Spouse
Daughter
Cousin
Human Capital: Reflection
Optism and Passion were common themes from those who know me best. Stress Management is implied I believe but it is also something that is a more recent development and may not have been pick up by everyone just yet.
Hi, those are all great qualities to possess. Being passionate and optimistic is very important. It takes a strong person to remain positive even when things aren't going their way! Also, adaptability is a great quality to have in this constantly changing world. I would be interested to see what your family/friends say who know you best. This was a great assignment to learn about yourself. You can check out my blog if interested: http://rebeccamarrauf.blogspot.com/2016/03/my-secret-sauce.html

ReplyDeleteHey! I thought it was interesting in the beginning of the post you said being humble is the most important thing, so it's hard to talk about yourself. I agree with that and also struggled some with this assignment. But, I think the traits you chose were excellent and very helpful with having a successful business!
